The Men in Blue, who were recently crowned ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 champions, will be playing their first series after the victory. While this team playing against Zimbabwe is new and fresh, there is still hope the side will win the 5-match series with ease.

The 1st T20I will be played on July 6 (Saturday) at 4:30 PM IST and Indian fans can watch all the action on Sony Sports Network while the live streaming will be available on the Sony Liv app and website.

India team combination:

With Shubman Gill as the captain, he is directly into the squad as an opener. Abhishek Sharma is expected to open the batting for India and make his international debut. With Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Shivam Dube joining the team after the second T20I, Ruturaj Gaikwad could play at the No. 3 spot for now.

Riyan Parag is expected to bat at No. 4, while Jitesh Sharma is anticipated to keep wickets, with Rinku Singh occupying the No. 6 position. Washington Sundar will be the all-rounder, and Ravi Bishnoi is expected to be the main spinner.

As for pacers, the team may go with Khaleel Ahmed and Avesh Khan, while either Mukesh Kumar or the young and impressive Harshit Rana could take the third spot.
