Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli
History was made in Pune as New Zealand claimed their first Test series victory in India! This win is considered one of the biggest upsets of the century against a team that hadn't lost at home since 2012. India had enjoyed 18 consecutive series victories before this one and were heavy favourites to win all their matches in pursuit of a spot in the World Test Championship (WTC) final. However, these losses could significantly impact the Men in Blue's chances.

On the flip side, New Zealand, who faced a 0-2 defeat in Sri Lanka before arriving in India, will be thrilled with this outcome. Under new captain Tom Latham, they fielded a relatively inexperienced lineup, with only Latham and Tim Southee having more than 30 Test caps.
The Indian team's defeat by 113 runs left fans feeling disappointed and angry. Many took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to voice their frustrations and called for the retirement of senior players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Both players struggled to contribute runs, with the Indian skipper getting out for a duck and scoring only 8 off 16 in the second Test, while Kohli managed just 1 off 9 and later 17 off 40.
T20 retirement done, time to retire from Test matches as well. Both gentlemen.
