Earlier, India amassed 171 runs in their innings, losing 7 wickets in the process. Rohit Sharma (57 off 39) and Suryakumar Yadav (47 off 36) were the top scorers, with contributions also from Virat Kohli (9 off 9), Rishabh Pant (4 off 6), Hardik Pandya (23 off 13), Axar Patel (10 off 6), and Ravindra Jadeja (17* off 9).
England's bowling effort saw Chris Jordan taking three wickets, while Reece Topley, Jofra Archer, Sam Curran, and Adil Rashid each took one wicket.
