India knocked out
New Zealand with a big win over Pakistan, has reached the ICC Women's T20 World Cup semi-finals for the 5th time and the 1st time since 2016. However, this victory has knocked the Indian women's cricket team out of the Top 4 race. Indian fans, who ironically cheered for Pakistan to win the clash, were let down first by their own team's performance and then by the Women in Green.

In the match between Pakistan and New Zealand, the White Ferns opted to bat first at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, posting 110 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. They benefited from Pakistan's lacklustre fielding, which saw around 8 chances dropped, with Nida Dar being the worst affected, as four opportunities went down off her bowling.
In reply, chasing the total on a tricky wicket, the Women in Green were bowled out for just 56 runs. This became the lowest total for Pakistan Women in WT20Is and is also the second-lowest by any team against New Zealand Women, following Bangladesh Women’s 32 all-out in Christchurch in 2022.
Through to the semi-finals in style 🤩

For India, despite their wins over Sri Lanka and Pakistan, the heavy loss against the Kiwis and the last-over thriller against Australia hurt their chances of entering the semi-finals. Indian fans on X (formerly known as Twitter) expressed their sadness and frustration at New Zealand somehow managing to knock India out of tournaments, whether in men's or women's games.
