ICC Men's T20I Rankings
India's 5-match series against Zimbabwe saw the young team stage a comeback after losing the first game, eventually clinching it 4-1 and boosting players in the ICC T20I rankings. Standout performances from Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Washington Sundar, and Mukesh Kumar led to significant leaps.

Series skipper Shubman Gill, also the leading run-scorer with 170 runs from five innings, surged 36 places to 37th in the batting charts. He now ranks as India's 4th highest T20I player, surpassing recently retired duo Rohit Sharma (42nd) and Virat Kohli (51st).
Yashasvi Jaiswal made a notable rise, advancing four places to 6th overall after scoring 141 runs. Gill now follows Suryakumar (2nd), Jaiswal (6th), and Ruturaj Gaikwad (8th).

In the bowling rankings, Washington Sundar climbed 36 spots to 46th, while Mukesh Kumar rose 21 places to 73rd, both after their performances in the series. Spinner Ravi Bishnoi maintained his 19th position despite his early series wicket-taking.
Zimbabwe's Blessing Muzarabani also rose 11 places to 44th among T20I bowlers following the six-wicket he took against India. Veteran Sikandar Raza also gained a spot, now ranking 3rd among all-rounders due to his contributions with bat and ball.

What's new for Team India?
Looking ahead, under new head coach Gautam Gambhir, Team India will face Sri Lanka in their next series, comprising three T20Is and as many ODIs. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revised the tour schedule, commencing with the T20Is on July 27 at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. The ODI series will begin on August 2 at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo.
