Vyshak Vijaykumar
What a start to the Duleep Trophy 2024, at least for the India C team, as they made quick work of the India D top order within just 8 overs, dismissing 4 batters and leaving the score at 26 runs. Bowlers Vijaykumar Vyshak and Anshul Kamboj each took two wickets, but it was Vyshak who notably dismissed IND D skipper Shreyas Iyer and then, shortly after, sent back Devdutt Padikkal in the same over.

Shreyas Iyer, who came in after the wicket of Atharva Taide (4 off 5), did not last long. The India D captain faced 16 balls, scoring 9 runs with one boundary, before being dismissed by Vyshak. Vyshak continued his dominance by not allowing Devdutt Padikkal, who had just walked to the crease, to settle. Padikkal faced only 4 balls before departing for a duck.
Anshul Kamboj, the other bowler, dismissed Atharva Taide and Yash Dubey (10 off 12), putting their side in a commanding position. Cricket fans on X (formerly known as Twitter) have been praising the bowlers, especially Vyshak Vijaykumar, for their exceptional performance.

Dear @RCBTweets @DineshKarthik just don’t leave Vyshak Vijaykumar. He is truly growing & certainly the best future pace star. Just back him at the RCB again for coming season. https://t.co/TbsdzoRSOk

As of writing this article, 11 overs have been completed with India D scoring 34 runs and losing 5 wickets as Himanshu Chauhan sent back Ricky Bhui for 4 off 13 balls. Srikar Bharat and Axar Patel are at the crease and will look to stabilize their innings. India C, who won the toss and chose to field at Rural Development Trust Stadium, Anantapur, seem to be doing good with the decision they took.
On the other side, at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, Abhimanyu Easwaran's India B have scored 29 runs in 12 overs against Shubman Gill's India A.
