Ravindra Jadeja
In Match 61 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR), the home team has been in control of the game so far. However, a twist in the game occurred in the 15.5 over when all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, attempting to go for the second run, was given out for obstructing the field.

Jadeja dabbed the ball towards the third man, and then there was a miscommunication between him and Ruturaj Gaikwad. Jadeja was halfway down the pitch for the second run, but the CSK skipper was not keen to take it. The third man hurled the ball to Sanju Samson, who caught the ball and had a shy at the bowler's end, but the throw hit Jadeja.
The third umpire was asked to check if Jadeja was at fault and was seen on replays watching the ball. The third umpire stated he was aware of where the ball was heading. This surely became a controversial decision, but despite that, some cricket fans on X (formerly known as Twitter) started trending 'cheater Jadeja' and 'fraud Jadeja' soon after.
