Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan DISMISSES reports about his arrest in Dubai; shares a video on social media

The well-known Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has been arrested in Dubai. The reason? It has been reported that the singer was arrested based on a complaint filed by Salman Ahmed, who happens to be his former manager. 

As per a news report in News 24, it has been stated that, as per the initial reports, the singer had been detained at the Burj Dubai police station during his stay in the UAE. It has also been stated that Rahat Fateh Ali Khan had been involved in a controversy because of the constant tensions with his former manager Salman Ahmed. 

However, the singer took to social media and posted a video of him. The said post was captrioned as, News circulating regarding the arrest of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is fake and baseless. Regards Team RFAK.' In the said video, the singer can be seen saying, "Hello everyone. I am Rahat Fateh Ali Khan… yours Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. I have come to Dubai to record a song. Our songs are doing really great here. And, everything is fine. I would like to request everyone not to believe in the rumours. There is nothing that the enemy is thinking". 

He added, "By God’s grace, I will be presenting a superhit song very soon before you. I would also like to request all my fans across the world not to believe in dirty / baseless rumours and do not waste your time. You are my power, my audience, my fans. I love all of you." 

Speaking about his former manager Salman Ahmed, it has been said that he has now filed legal cases against the singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan in Dubai as well as other cities. It was during this year, when the FIA (Federal Investigation Agency) had launched an inquiry which was about the allegations of money laundering and tax evasion against the singer.

It was during the course of detailed investigation; it was revealed that the singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan had earned around RS. 8 billion through his performances in international as well as national concerts, which spanned over 12 years.

If that wasn’t enough, then, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan had also been a part of yet another controversy early this year, when he was shown allegedly assaulting one of his band members. And the reason was about him demanding the location of a ‘bottle.’ A few days after that, the singer went on to downplay the said incident by saying that it was just a personal matter between a mentor and his disciple. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan also got the employee Naveed Hasnain, and his father introduced to his fans on social media to highlight that their relationship with each other was cordial and respectful.

So far, there has been no official statement which has been issued regarding the arrest of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan from his spokesperson.
