Even though many years may pass, still, some character names of the actors become so synonymous with the on-screen characters that they play, that it almost becomes their second name or shall we say second skin! Actor Arshad Warsi and his portrayal; of Circuit in the extremely famous Munnabhai series is one such example. Films in the said series viz., Munna Bhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munna Bhai have become evergreen in the history of cinema and will continue to sweetly linger in every human heart.
After the stupendous success of Munna Bhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munna Bhai, it was only natural that the audiences were eagerly waiting for the next series. About a few years ago, there was also a small teaser about the film’s third instalment, which was titled Munnabhai Chale Amreeka. But, since then, there has been no movement or update or announcement in that direction.
In a recent conversation with Mid Day, when Arshad Warsi was asked whether the third film of the Rajkumar Hirani's Munna Bhai franchise was being made, the actor said that Vidhu Vinod Chopra wanted to make it, Rajkumar Hirani also wanted it to be made, and also Sanjay Bhai also wanted to do it and he would do it too. After saying all this, Arshad said that this was not being made yet.
At the same time, Arshad added that Raju had three great scripts for the sequel with some things missing here and there. He added that he did not think that (the film) was happening and that, by now, a lot of time had passed.
The actor revealed that he had told Raju that whatever began also had an end and that, it looked like they left the Munna Bhai film franchise on interval and that everyone was impatient because it was not over yet. He summed it up saying that, Munna Bhai series needed to end.
On the work front, Arshad Warsi is presently readying himself for the third instalment of Jolly LLB.
