This month of May has already started. With it, besides the other promises and hopes, it also brings an array of wonderfully varied releases, both in theatres as well as on the OTT platforms. Let us have a look at the complete list of all the upcoming OTT releases in the month of May.

Title: Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar

Synopsis / Story Plot:
The much-awaited Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar has ultimately been released on the OTT major Netflix on May 1. Directed by the one and only Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar is a series which has been set against the Indian Independence movement as the backdrop.

Besides the golden touch of the ‘Midas Man’ Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the direction department, it’s the performance of actors along with the chartbuster music which forms the major USPs of this series.

Title: Manjummel Boys

Synopsis/Story plot:
Set in the year 2006, the film is about a group of friends from an arts club in Kochi. On the festival day of Onam, they leave for a trip to Kodaikanal. Just as when they leave the place, one of the team members tell them about Guna Caves, the very place where the film ‘Gunaa’ was shot.

Even though a warning gets issued to them by a tourist guide, still, these people try and explore the caves. What happens after that will actually beyond anyone’s imagination. To know what happens next, you can watch the entire film, which will be streamed on Disney Plus Hotstar from May 5.

Synopsis:
The film is an American romantic comedy, which is based on the novel of the same name, and which had been written by Robinne Lee. The film mirrors the love affair between a single mother Solene Marchand (Anne Hathaway) and the lead singer of a popular boy band Hayes Campbell (Nicholas Galitzine). The film takes a deep dive into love, romance and other emotions when Hayes dedicates a song to Solene.

Synopsis: Based on the best-selling book series by Julia Quinn, the series mirrors the lives of eight siblings of the powerful Bridgerton family. After having made its debut in December 2020 with the first season based on ‘The Duke and I’ and the second season which was inspired by the book, ‘The Viscount Who Loved Me’, the makers are now all ready with the third season.

Based on the fourth book in the series ‘Romancing Mr Bridgerton’, the series sees Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton reprising their roles as Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton respectively. The series is all about will the friendship continue or culminate into love!

Synopsis: The film is an Hindi adaptation of the superhit Gujrati film Vash. This film holds extreme importance for many reasons. While on one hand, the film sees R. Madhavan in a never before role. Needless to say, the flawless performances of Ajay Devgn, Jyotika and Janki Bodiwala (who was a part of the original film).

Title: Madgaon Express

Synopsis:
After having started off in the year 1998, the film is a story about three friends who are in their tenth standard and their dreams of going to Goa. Circa 2003- The three friends, once again, plan to go to Goa after their graduation!

As luck would have it, their car meets with an accident and their Goa plans are shattered once again. While two of the friends become rich, the third friend still is struggling. One false truth lands him up in trouble, which eventually gets extended to all the three friends!

Synopsis:
The film is about Arun Katyal (Sidharth Malhotra), who is happy to be a soldier from the Special Yodha Task Force, after he faces suspension because of a mission failure. The mystery around him only deepens (and how) when he is unexpectedly found on a hijacked flight!

What happens after that is what forms the rest of the film!

Title: Aadujeevitham - The Goat Life

Synopsis:
This film is based on real-life events and follows Indian migrant worker Najeeb Muhammed, who travels to Saudi Arabia to earn money. However, he finds himself trapped and forced to live a slave-like existence, herding goats in the middle of the desert for the next two to three years. The film narrates his struggles and his eventual escape from the control of his Arab employer.

Post this, a case of mistaken identity takes places between immigrants Najeeb Muhammed and Hakim, which leads them to sperate from each other. Najeeb, who leaves to work in a remote desert goat herd, lands up meeting Najeeb Muhammed after many years. What happnes to both of them and their lives is what forms the rest of the film.

Synopsis:
The story is about three air hostesses viz., Geeta Sethi, Jasmine Kohli, Divya Rana played by Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon respectively. One fine day, their ‘high-flying’ life hits a turbulence of sorts when they get to know that their company is bankrupt.

The three then discover something very shocking about their boss. Post that, the trio set on a journey to expose their boss. On the other hand, they also get a lifetime ‘golden’ opportunity! Which way will these air hostesses turn to… rather fly to … is what forms the rest of the film!
