Bad Newz box office collection day 3: Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk starrer maintains pace

Ever since the time Karan Johar announced the launch of his next film Bad Newz, which happens to be a sequel of his previous hit flick Good Newwz, the film had been making news for all the right reasons. The film opened to a mixed reaction from the audiences and also on social media. But, with the passage of time, it seems that the film is definitely gaining strength. What is also working in the favour of the film are the on-ground promotions done by the film’s cast plus a strong word of mouth from those who have seen the film.

The film Bad Newz, has now collected Rs. 11 crores on its third day. Prior to this, the film had collected Rs. 19.17 crore on its first two days, and was expected to cross the Rs. 30 crore mark during the weekend. With that, the film’s total collection stands at Rs. 29.55 crore so far, as per the industry’s reliable tracker Sacnilk.

As for the film Bad Newz, it stars the trio of Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk. The film has a very unnatural (but real-life) situation as its prime plot. For the unversed, the film revolves around a rare medical condition called heteropaternal superfecundation. And it is on the grounds of this medical condition, Triptii Dimri’s character becomes pregnant with the characters played by Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk’s baby in the film. The film also stars Ananya Panday and Neha Sharma in surprise cameos!

For the unversed, Bad Newz happens to be a sequel of previous hit Good Newwz, which starred Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani. While the film Good Newwz was directed by Raj Mehta, the film Bad Newz has been directed by Anand Tiwari. While one the topic of Good Newwz, the film had collected Rs. 316 cr worldwide. What remains to be seen is whether Bad Newz will be able to surpass the collections of Good Newwz. Let’s wait and watch!
