So, the much talked about and much-discussed wedding of Sonakshi Sinha with Zaheer Iqbal is finally over. Even before the wedding could happen, there were many eyebrows which were raised at the would-be couple amongst the other things. Amidst all this, there were huge murmurs about Sonakshi Sinha’s father Shatrughan Sinha not attending the function. And the reason ‘cited’ for the same (as per ‘sources’) was his displeasure over Sonakshi’s wedding.

However, Shatrughan Sinha not just silenced the (baseless) rumours but also showed them the door by attending the wedding of his daughter Sonakshi Sinha with Zaheer Iqbal. Along with Shatrughan Sinha was his wife Poonam Sinha. However, one could feel the absence of Sonakshi Sinha’s two brothers Luv Sinha and Kush Sinha from the wedding of their sister.

When Hindustan Times reached out to Luv Sinha to find out the reason for him not attending his sister Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding, the latter said, “Please give it a day or two. I’ll respond to your question then if I feel I can. Thank you for asking”. The absence of Sonakshi Sinha’s brothers from the wedding has only furthermore added to the murmurs of their discord amidst the Sinha siblings over Sonakshi’s marriage.

Readers may recall that, in an earlier interview with ETimes, Luv Sinha had said that he was not in Mumbai at that moment. He added that, if the conversation was about the news published, then, he had no comment or involvement in the matter’.

As for Sonakshi Sinha’s marriage with Zaheer Iqbal, the just married couple took to social media and shared an emotional post. Sonakshi, on her part, wrote, ‘On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each other's eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife. Here’s to love, hope and all things beautiful with each other, from now until forever Sonakshi Zaheer’.
