Ever since the time Rajkummar Rao starrer Srikanth was announced, it had started making news… and for all the right reasons. The film, which is a biopic based on the real-life go-getter Srikanth Bolla, has managed to touch the hearts of the cinegoers. Thanks to the hype, publicity and the curiosity that had developed in the minds of the audiences, the film managed to get off to a decent start on its first day.
And, as far as the second day of the film is concerned (which is generally considered to be a crucial day as it’s a weekend), the film saw some amazing results at the box office. This was majorly due to the word-of-mouth publicity, which was expected of the film. All of this saw the film’s business seeing a surge on its second day.
As per the available reports on the Sacnilk website, Srikanth has managed to collect around Rs. 4 crores on its second day. With this, the film has managed to collect over Rs. 6 crores within two days of its release. The Rajkummar Rao starrer saw an overall occupancy of around 20.25% on Saturday (in the Hindi version). What has really worked in the film’s favour is the fact that it has been based on industrialist Srikanth Bolla’s life, which has seen him pursue his dream of starting Bollant Industries, despite his visual impairment.
As for the film, Srikanth stars the extremely versatile Rajkummar Rao in the titular role. Offering him able support in the film is Jyotika, who has really shined shoulder to shoulder with Rajkummar Rao in the film’s narrative. The film also stars Alaya F and Sharad Kelkar in all important roles. The film, which has been produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishna Kumar and Nidhi Parmar
