It was exactly the day and date of 24 July 2020 when a film titled Dil Bechara was released. The film, which was the late Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film (before he passed away), had everyone rooting for it. The film was truly special for many reasons than one.

Today, as the film Dil Bechara clocks 4 years, the film’s leading lady Sanjana Sanghi took to social media and wrote an extremely emotional post, wherein she recalled not just the memories of the film, but also about Sushant Singh Rajput as a co-star and a human being.

In her post, Sanjana Sanghi wrote, ‘4 years to this most special day. A day for me to reflect on the unbelievable journey thus far, and immerse myself in nostalgia. Can never be grateful enough for the boundless love you have all given Dil Bechara and Kizie Basu, always and always.

She added, ‘Can never be grateful enough for the excitement I feel in my heart to be given this opportunity to entertain you all. Thank you. A million times over. Miss you Sush’. In addition to the heartfelt post, Sanjana Sanghi also posted a timeless pic of her with the late Sushant Singh Rajput, which was, incidentally, an evergreen still from the film.

For the unversed, the film was a heart touching love story about the two characters played by Sanjana Sanghi and Sushant Singh Rajput. The film’s plot was about Sanjana Sanghi’s character fighting thyroid cancer when she lands up meeting Sushant Singh Rajput’s character, who had suffered from osteosarcoma and was reeling under its after effects.

Besides Sushant Singh Rajput (who was seen in the role of Immanuel Rajkumar Jr. aka Manny) and Sanjana Sanghi (who was seen in the role of Kizie Basu), the film Dil Bechara also starred Sahil Vaid, Saswata Chatterjee and Swastika Mukherjee in all-important roles.

While the film was directed by the well-known casting director Mukesh Chhabra, it was streamed on the OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar.
