    A few days ago, two unidentified men, who had come on motorbikes outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence, had fired four rounds outside the Galaxy Apartments, the very building where the actor resides. Post that incident, Mumbai Police set into action and caught two men Anuj Thapan and Sonu Kumar Subhash Chander Bishnoi were arrested.

    The latest update on the said case is that, Anuj Thapan, who happened to be one of the accused in the Salman Khan house firing case, has now died by suicide in the lock-up of Mumbai Police’s crime branch, as per what the police officials had said.

    A news report in The Hindu stated that, according to a police official, Anuj Thapan had attempted to die by suicide at around 11am and that the incident took place in the bathroom of the police lock-up on the first floor. Post that Anuj Thapan was immediately rushed to GT hospital by the police where he was declared dead. The same report quoted another officer who said that, till now, there has been no clarity on the reason behind the suicide.

    Only a few days back after the said incident and when the two accused were caught, a Mumbai court had remanded to police custody till April 30. Both the men were arrested from Punjab in connection with the firing case and were then produced before a magistrate’s court. The police officials also said that both Sonu Bishnoi and Anuj Thapan hailed from Fazilka, which was close to Lawrence Bishnoi’s native place in Punjab.

    Only recently, Mumbai Police's Crime Branch had written a letter to the Home Ministry, herein they had asked for a lookout circular to be issued against Anmol Bishnoi. And, after a few days, the said lookout circular had got issued. For the unversed, Anmol Bishnoi had come under the Mumbai Police's radar after he had posted on Facebook that he was responsible for the firing at Salman Khan's house in Mumbai.
