    The much-awaited Olympics 2024 has finally begun in Paris, with many countries across the globe participating in various sports, hoping to go back home with the prized medal. As for India, every single Indian has been pinning their hopes on the various sports persons who are in Tokyo, proudly representing the nation in various sports. We are just on the second day of the Paris Olympics 2024, and we already have bagged our first medal, courtesy the ace shooter Manu Bhaker!

    Manu Bhaker, on her part, maintained a cool, calm and collected head in the final round and fired her way to glory by bagging the third place and a bronze medal. With this, Manu Bhaker becomes the first Indian woman to achieve this feat.

    In no time, the social media was overflowing with congratulatory messages pouring in for Manu Bhaker. Besides Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there were many Bollywood celebs as well who took to social media and congratulated the shining star Manu Bhaker. These celebs included Anil Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Preity Zinta and many more.

    On his part, Anil Kapoor, who is busy with the hosting of the ongoing reality show Bigg Boss OTT 3, took to social media and wrote, ‘Congratulations @bhakermanu on the incredible first win for India at the olympics this year!! Wohoooo…. Go India’.

    Besides him, there was the feisty actress Taapsee Pannu who wrote, ‘Opening our Olympic medal tally account with a bronze!!! Congratulations to this fantastic shooter’.

    With this, Manu Bhaker becomes the fifth Indian to win big in the shooting sports to bag a medal. The previous ‘shooting stars’ include Abhinav Bindra, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Vijay Kumar, and Gagan Narang.
