What’s common to Bollywood actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor, besides the fact that they are bonafide superstars and that all of them have a tremendous fanbase all over. Besides these factors, there is also one factor which binds all of them together… all of these Bollywood personalities have secured their personality rights.

Joining the aforementioned names to secure the personality right is none other than the established singer Kumar Sanu, as reported by Hindustan Times. In an interview with HT City, Kumar Sanu revealed that, after he is done with his commitments as far as the USA concerts are concerned, he will be back (in India) and will plan to take an order on this from the court.

Elaborating on this, Kumar Sanu said that he felt that technology today was being dominated by AI (Artificial Intelligence). The singer said that he feels that it is totally incorrect that there becomes a duplicate of any singer. And, that’s why, one had to protect themselves by way of such methods. The prolific singer went on to term Artificial Intelligence as dangerous.

In the same breath, Kumar Sanu added that he was bothered about the fact that, why don’t the original singers sing their song again if they were capable of it and that the use of Artificial Intelligence in covers must be prohibited. While wondering about the reason why producers and directors were not able to understand this basic thing and were ignoring melody, he said that cheap (commercially) lyrics were being thrusted on the public.

In the same interview, Kumar Sanu, vert rightfully said that “Kisi bhi singer ka duplicate ban jaaye, I don’t think this will be correct. One has to protect themselves by way of such methods. AI is dangerous”. After Kumar Sanu, one wonders as to which other singer or music composer will follow suit and apply for personality rights protection. Watch this space.
