Is Kajol and Prabhu Deva all set to reunite for an action film? Here’s what we know

How can anyone forget the unmissable twinkle in Kajol’s eyes as she was singing ‘Aawaara bhavre jo holey holey gaaye’, in the film Sapnay! For the unversed, Sapnay happened to be the Hindi-dubbed version of the original Tamil film Minsara Kanavu, which had a ‘dream run’ at the box office. For all those who were earnestly hoping and praying to see this pair on screen again, then, here is some good news for you!

As per a report in Peeping Moon, Kajol has now signed a film, which is untitled so far. And her co-star in the film is none other than Prabhu Deva. As far as the film’s plot and other details of the film are concerned, it has not yet been disclosed. But the very fact that the film will see the reunion of Kajol and Prabhu Deva after a gap of many years has definitely brought a smile to many!

The same report stated that the untitled film will be directed by the extremely bankable filmmaker Cheran. For the unversed, Cheran is a National Award-winning director, who has to his credit of having made films like Thavamai Thavamirundhu, Vetri Kodi Kattu and others. And as for the film’s producer, it is being produced by a leading south Indian distributor, whose name has been kept under the wraps.

As for Kajol, besides the aforementioned untitled film, she is also busy with Maa, her first ever horror film of her career. As far as the release of the horror film is concerned, it has been reported that the film’s makers are wanting to release it in theatres later this year.

The firebrand actress Kajol, besides the above mentioned two films, has a super impressive line up of films. These films include Do Patti (which will be streamed on Netflix) and which has Kriti Sanon as her co-star. This film will be the second film in which they both will be seen sharing screen space, the first one being the Shah Rukh Khan, Varun Dhawan starrer Dilwale.

Besides that, Kajol will also be seen in the Ibrahim Ali Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer Sarzameen, which is being made under the banner of Dharma Productions.
