These days, the cinegoers are just talking, discussing and raving about only one film which has set the box office on fire. No prizes for guessing! It is indeed the Vijay Sethupathi starrer smash hit film Maharaja! And if the ongoing buzz is to be believed, then, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is now all set to remake the Vijay Sethupathi starrer smash hit film Maharaja in Hindi!

As per a report in Koimoi, it has been said that, Aamir Khan has now secured the remake rights of the Vijay Sethupathi starrer box office blockbuster Maharaja. In addition to that, the said report also stated that, it will be Aamir Khan who will be starring in the film! There has been no official announcement regarding the same so far, from either Aamir Khan or Vijay Sethupathi or the filmmakers of the Tamil blockbuster Maharaja.

With Maharaja being all set to be (re)made in Hindi, what remains to be seen is that, will the film be able to create the same magic and hysteria as the Tamil original one. For the unversed, the Vijay Sethupathi starrer Maharaja is a story about a father, his darling daughter and ‘Laxmi’, which happens to be his dustbin.

One fine day, Vijay’s character in the film realizes that Laxmi has gone missing. He immediately goes to the police station to file a complaint. The things (read ‘events’) which unfurl after that is what takes the audiences to a crescendo of suspense, thrill, excitement and also an adrenaline rush of emotions.

Besides Vijay Sethupathi, the film also stars Anurag Kashyap and Mamta Mohandas in the leading roles. While the film has been directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, it has been produced by Sudhan Sundaram and Jagadish Palanisamy. As for the most talked about film’s plot and hard hitting dialogues, while the former has been written by Nithilan Swaminathan, the latter has been written by Nithilan Swaminathan and Raam Mural.
