Has the Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur starrer titled Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai? Here’s what we know!

Bollywood superstar Varun Dhawan just couldn't be any more happier. While on one hand, he has just become a proud papa of a baby girl and on the other hand, his professional life is shining at its peak! Speaking about his professional life, there is very good news for all the fans and followers of this superstar. His upcoming film (which is being directed by his father David Dhawan) seems to have got a title.

As per a source-based report in Pinkvilla, it has been reported that, the upcoming Varun Dhawan starrer has now got its title as Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. The film stars Varun Dhawan along with Mrunal Thakur and Sreeleela as the leading ladies. The film’s premise, which is being said to be a love triangle, is being produced by Ramesh Taurani.

The same report added that, Varun Dhawan is busy with his shooting for the said film, along with two other actors viz., Maniesh Paul and Kubbra Sait, who will be eventually joining the rest of the cast as the film progresses. For those who have been living and breathing the Bollywood films of the nineties will surely recall the ‘origin’ of the film’s title Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai!

For the unversed, the line ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ was a part of the hit track ‘Ishq chaandi hai, Ishq sona hai..’ from the film Biwi No. 1, which was directed by David Dhawan. The said track was sung by the mellifluous singers Shankar Mahadevan and Hema Sardesai.

Besides the aforementioned film, Varun Dhawan will soon be seen in the most awaited and much talked about film Baby John (which was titled as VD 18 for the longest time). Besides Varun Dhawan, the film also stars the stunning Wamiqa Gabbi and Keerthy Suresh, who will be seen making her Bollywood debut with this film. While the film is being directed by Kalees (who has also written the screenplay of the film), it is being produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Murad Khetani, Atlee and Priya Atlee.

While Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is being readied to be released on October 2 next year (2025), Baby John will be hitting the silver screens on December 25 this year (2024).
