Baby John: Varun Dhawan, Wamiqa Gabbi, Keerthy Suresh’s film to lock horns with Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par

Looking back a few months ago, it was announced that Varun Dhawan will be starring in a Bollywood film, which is the Hindi remake of the southern hit Theri, which had been directed by Atlee Kumar. For quite some time, the said film was titled and referred to as ‘VD 18’. After a few months of referring to the Varun Dhawan starer as VD 18, it was then officially announced that while VD 18 was the working title, the film’s actual title is Baby John.

Ever since the time the film had been announced, it had been making news for some reason or the other. There were many times when Varun Dhawan used to share his health updates on social media, as he had got hurt on the sets of the film a few times. The film has also been in the news because the stunning Keerthy Suresh, who is all set to make her Bollywood debut with this film.

The latest update on Baby John is that it will now be released on December 25. Which only means that, the Varun Dhawan starrer will be clashing with the release date of the Aamir Khan starrer Sitaare Zameen Par. The announcement of the release date of the film Baby John was made by the film’s producer Murad Khetan on social media.

Murad, on his part, took to social media and shared an extremely thrilling poster of the film which sees Varun Dhawan in a sleeveless black vest (ganji to be precise) with his long hair combed backwards and a knife sorted of pointed object in his hand. His eyes could be seen boiling in anger.

Muard captioned the post as, ‘Christmas this year just got merrier. No sooner the said announcement was made, all the fans and followers of the superstar Varun Dhawan were seemingly over the moon. While one user wrote, ‘ I am already seeing awards galore in Varun’s hands for this film Baby John’, another user wrote, ‘There is absolutely nothing that Varun Dhawan cannot do’.

As for Aamir Khan’s film Sitaare Zameen Par, it is being directed by RS Prasanna and stars Genelia Deshmukh.
