Alia Bhatt's track Ghar More Pardesiya from Kalank gets a special mention by The Academy

Alia Bhatt is unarguably one of the seamless and flawless actresses amongst the present lot of artistes. In her career spanning many years, she has not just been a part of many films which have been superhits at the box office, but also have left an indelible mark in the minds of the cinegoers, who eagerly wait for every film of hers. Amongst the many achievements, Alia has now added yet another feather in her cap.

This time round, her track ‘Ghar More Pardesiya’ from the film Kalank, has now got a special mention from The Academy. The officials at The Academy took to social media handle and posted a clip of her track along with a caption, "Alia Bhatt performing “Ghar More Pardesiya” (vocals by Shreya Ghoshal with Vaishali Mhade) from the film ‘Kalank.’ Directed by Abhishek Varman. Starring Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha Song composed by Pritam Chakraborty. Lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya’.

No sooner did The Academy post about giving a special mention to Alia Bhatt’s track, there was an ocean of her well-wishers, fans and followers who simply swarmed the comments section with their compliments. While one user wrote, ‘Alia bhatt's performance has been spectacular in every movie she's done’, there was another who wrote, ‘Her expressions while dancing has to be one of the finest performances ever’.

Another netizen wrote, ‘alia literally is the biggest female Indian superstar right now’. There was a user who seemed to be an extreme die-hard fan of Alia Bhatt. The said user wrote, ‘Its not Alia Bhatt who has been elevated to the skies. Actually, it’s the Academy who have made their chest swell with pride after having taken the name of Alia Bhatt, who is by far the biggest superstar that the present generation has seen. There is not even a single actress who can even dare to come close to Alia Bhatt as far as her performances are concerned’.

Speaking about Kalank, it was a period drama which was directed by Abhishek Varman and had been released in 2019. Besides Alia Bhatt, the film also starred Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles. This said track was composed by Pritam Chakraborty and its lyrics have been penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

On the professional front, Alia Bhatt will now be seen in the Vasan Bala directed ‘Jigra’.
