Sriya Reddy to return on silver screen soon

Southern star Sriya Reddy was last seen in Kanchivaram (2008). It has been six years now that the elegant actress hasn’t done a single film. She married actor-producer Vikram Krishna in 2008 only and stayed back from the silver screen since then. Now, the news has come up that the actress is planning to be back on big screen.

The 31-year-old starlet said, “Yes, it is true. I am in talks with filmmakers. I did Kanchivaram, which was critically acclaimed, after my wedding and then, I stopped signing up films. From then, several people have asked me to return to acting. Offers have been coming, but they haven't been interesting enough. The kind of films I have done are unique and I want to do only such kind of films.”
Reddy has also stated that she is not enjoying her job of a producer and would want to pursue her career as an actor only. She quoted, “The big boys can do it themselves. Initially, I wasn't sure if I wanted to do production. Then, I realized production didn't make me happy. Fine, it was fun and it is our company, but I wanted to give something more. So, I decided that I would do something that I was passionate about and that was when I made up my mind to return to acting. So, yes, I will be focusing on only my acting career for now.”
