Premam Tamil Remake: Suriya, Dhanush under Consideration to Play Lead

For long, there has been a buzz that Malayalam blockbuster film Premam will have a Tamil remake. Now it seems that the rumours are turning true. As per the latest reports, Studio Green banner is in talks with director Alphonse Putharen to acquire the Tamil rights of the film.  

Further the reports suggest that the production house, which sought back to back success with films Komban and Baahubali, is considering Suriya and Dhanush to star as the main lead in the film. However, an official announcement is awaited. In the original, the lead role was played by Nivin Pauly.

The romantic-comedy drama Malayalam film was written, edited and directed by Alphonse Putharen. The film released in May this year and received both critical and commercial acclaim. Premam minted Rs. Rs 60 crores worldwide.
