Hari Uthraa’s ‘Theru Naaigal’ Deals With Farmers’ Issues

Debutant director Hari Uthraa’s upcoming movie titled ‘Theru Naaigal’ talks about corporate interventions and issues that farmers face due to it. The film will have newbies Pratheek and Akshatha playing the lead. Apart from the two actors, the flick will also feature Mime Gopi, Imman Annachi and Theri Dheena.

“It’s hard for a newcomer to find a producer. My film also has controversial issues as its subject, which further made the task hard. However, I Creations trusted the content and came forward to fund it,” said the director.

Though the film has been passed with a U certificate but the makers have revealed that they were able to obtain the certificate only after fully satisfying the board that it doesn’t hurt anyone. The director has revealed that the board was initially dubious about the content as they thought that it was against the government. The way the corporate people intervene with the agriculture and the farmers forms the crux of the story. The team is planning to release the film in the first week of July.
