Actor Dev Patel has revealed that his role in Slumdog Millionaire was both a delight and a curse. The 26-year-old actor who was riding the success of his film Slumdog Millionaire reveals that although the film had made his landmark in the industry but now he has to change that perception and prove that he is even better than that. However, Slumdog Millionaire raked a lot of attention from the audience and also bagged eight awards at the Oscar.

While talking about his role in Slumdog Millionaire, he said, “It’s a blessing and a curse, that film, for me. It put me on the map and did great things, but you’re fighting against it. To lots of people, I’m the dude from ‘Slumdog’. You have to go out there and earn your stripes and prove more than that”.

On the work front, Patel was recently featured in film ‘Lion’. However, the actor feels privileged and thinks that he has became a man after acting alongside Nicole Kidman in ‘Lion’. However, the fans are fervent to witness the chemistry of Nicole Kidman and Dev Patel in Lion.
