Godzilla vs. Kong Release Date Announced, Godzilla 2 Pushed Back
Warner Bros. has announced May 29, 2020 as the release date for the upcoming monster movie 'Godzilla vs. Kong'. With good news comes a little not so good news. The studio also announced that the sequel to the 2014 film 'Godzilla' has been postponed to March 22, 2019. Initially, the movie was planned to be released on June 8, 2018.
'Godzilla 2' has steered clear of the box office clash with 'Transformers 6' by postponing the release date but now, it will compete with the animated flick 'Amusement Park'. Some other changes in Warner Bros. studio’s schedule include an unspecified DC Comics film which has been pushed back to July 24, 2020 from June 19, 2020. Another undisclosed movie will be released on Christmas Day 2018.
'Godzilla vs. Kong', as the name suggests, will put the giant monster against the king of the jungle. The 2014 'Godzilla' was directed by Gareth Edwards while the 2005 film 'King Kong' was directed by Peter Jackson. The monster movie fans won’t have to wait till 2019 to get their dose of some King Kong action as ‘Kong: Skull Island’, the reboot of the famous franchise, will be released on March 10 next year.
