All You Need To Know About 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' The Official Eighth Potter Story

Harry Potter's Producer has declared that the eighth edition is on its way!"It's safe to say that 'The Cursed Child' picks up from where 'The Deathly Hallows' ended." Sonia Friedman said.

"More details have been announced about 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child', the new play based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, which receives its world premiere in London’s West End at the Palace Theatre in the summer of 2016. 

Following the reveal of the play’s artwork, it was announced that that 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' will start where the seventh book left off, and is the eighth story in the series, and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage. Written by Jack Thorne and directed by Olivier and Tony award winner John Tiffany, the play brings together some of the most exciting talent working in the theatre today. The play will open for priority booking on the 28th October 2015, and public booking on 30th October. Registration for priority booking is open until 25th October."

It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.

While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.

It further says that, "When we last saw Harry he was waving off his eldest children, James Sirius and Albus Severus, at Platform Nine and Three-Quarters. This next exciting chapter in the story will explore Harry’s life after that moment for the very first time."

The play will be written by Jack Thorne and directed by Olivier and Tony award-winner John Tiffany, in collaboration with J.K. Rowling.The play is slated in two parts featuring almost 30 actors.

The play will open up to Londoners in 2016 and booking starts on 28th October 2015. Meanwhile Potterheads can only wait, but happily!
