Waheeda Rehman All Set to Make Comeback

Legendry actress Waheeda Rehman, who is still the favourite of many, is all set to make a comeback on the big screen after a gap of six years. The 77-year-old actress who was last seen in Delhi 6 will be playing a prominent role in Anup Singh’s upcoming film. Iranian actress Golshifteh Farahani and Irrfan Khan will be playing lead roles in the flick.

“The film is a love story, and it will be based in a rustic set-up. Waheedaji will play Iranian actor Golshifteh Farahani’s mother. Golshifteh has been signed to play the lead role opposite Irrfan Khan in the movie”, a source told Hindustan Times.

The veteran actress has worked with Iranian actor Mohammad Ali Fardin in Subha-O-Sham, which released in 1972. “Waheedaji and Golshifteh have been bonding a lot. They even did poetry sessions together. Since Waheedaji has worked with Fardin in the past, they spoke about that too. Golshifteh has seen some of Waheedji’s work, and is a huge fan”, added the source.
