4 Reasons Why Sonakshi Sinha's Akira Will Be a Kickass Action-Flick
AR Murugadoss, after creating action-epics Ghajini and Holiday, now makes a comeback with Friday release Akira, starring Sonakshi Sinha, Konkona Sen Sharma and Anurag Kashyap.
Other than the eye-catching actor and director credits, what's interesting about the movie that it is one of the few out-and-out action pics of the year. And that is enough of a reason to evaluate how this movie will fare once it hits the screens across the country.
Here's why we think that the much-anticipated film will be a success:
The director with a pedigree.
A.R. Murgugadoss, after creating an impact in South-Indian films, took Bollywood by storm after he directed Ghajini in 2008. He followed it up with yet another successful movie Holiday, starring Akshay Kumar and this film's lead Sonakshi Sinha.
An in-form star.
Sonakshi is perhaps oen actor in Bollywood that hasn't faced a downright failure. The actress, who began her career with romantic films, now focuses her attention towards action.
Interesting supporting players.
The movie will mark the acting debut of ace director Anurag Kashyap. In addition, the film will also have solid actors in the form fo Konkona Sen Sharma and Amit Sadh.
Female-driven in the best possible way.
So far, het movie has made an impression that it will have its lead actress (Sonakshi Sinha) kicking major butt of whoever comes in the way, which is something we associate with male stars. If that doesn't deliver an honest feminism message, then what will?
