Rajkumar Hirani Talks About Saala Khadoos

The forthcoming sports film Saala Khadoos is being co-produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Madhavan. Rajkumar is known for his films Munna Bhai MBBS, 3 Idiots and PK, to name a few. Actor R. Madhavan played one of the three protagonists in 3 Idiots and is known for his shy-romantic roles. In Saala Khadoos, the actor plays the role of a boxing coach.

Talking about the film, Rajkumar stated, “Two years ago, Maddy called me and came to me with a script. Within 20 minutes he told me the story. He was keen on producing the film and also acting in it. I heard it, I liked it, and we are here!” He revealed that the actor had to undergo nearly six months of tough training to play the role.

The director also stated that they are slow at making films revealing that when they started work on PK, Oh My God hit the screens and a similar situation happened with Saala Khadoos and Mary Kom. Rajkumar added that Munna Bhai MBBS was to be made as a TV series starring Madhavan, but the actor had other plans.
