Here's Everything You Need To Know About Neil Nitin Mukesh and Rukmini Sahay's Wedding!
Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh kickstarted his wedding celebrations Tuesday with a roka ceremony in Udaipur. He is all set to tie the knot with Rukmini Sahay in Udaipur.
The mehendi and sangeet are scheduled for Wednesday, February 8 and the wedding will take place on Feburary 9.
The haldi, chuda chadai and the nuptial ceremony, followed by a family dinner and a cocktail party will also be held on Thursday.Neil Nitin Mukesh met his fiancée Rukmini Sahay through his parents.
Krishna Mehta has designed clothes for Neil Nitin which he will wear during the mehendi ceremony on Wednesday. It will be a classic kurta and vest made in exquisite silk with pink dominating the colour scheme with orange gold zardozi embroidery. With focus on ornate detailing, much like the palaces and havelis in Rajasthan, the off-beat anarkali style defines the vivid colour scheme. Nishi Nitin Mukesh has designed Rukmini’s lehenga for the occasion.
For the sangeet ceremony to be held in Wednesday evening, Neil will wear a Narendra Kumar creation while Rukmini will don a Krishna Mehta creation - a traditional lehenga, dupatta and blouse that delves into the roots of Rajasthani design by incorporating intricate gota work into the outfit .The stunning Pista green outfit with gota patti is embroidered with striking multi colour threads in zardozi. The border of the lehnga has been laced with dainty French knots to add an element of regal sophistication to the overall ensemble.
Thursday morning will be a fun-filled haldi ceremony with Neil and Rukmini getting their dresses from Neerus.
Sarath krishnan has designed the wedding dresses for the couple. Neil Nitin Mukesh will wear a traditional rajwaad look created by combining pure fabrics and handwork by the finest Rajasthani craftsmen using authentic work of aari,pure zari,kardana ,resham,nakshi etc.
Rukmini Sahay’s dress is made using pure silk fabric combined with traditional hand thread work and elements like stones,resham and sadhi. The outfit is subtle and yet classy.
Neil and Rukmini will wear family heirloom pieces for the family dinner.
Sarath Krishnan has also designed the cocktail dresses for the couple. Neil Nitin Mukesh will wear a classy two-button suit in grey, cut and tailored to fit,styled with customised elements made with lilac dye to compliment Rukmini’s attire.
Rukmini will don an elegant lilac-coloured Victorian inspired gown with soft silhouettes accompanied by swaroski crystals generously embellished on the flowing trail of the gown.
The destination wedding at Radisson Blu will be a family only affair with close to 500 guests expected whereas the reception to be held on February 17 at JW Marriot will be a grand affair that will see the whos-who of Bollywood in full attendance.
