Manoj Kumar to comeback for Lal Bahadur Shastri’s biopic

Legendry actor Manoj Kumar quit cinema long time back but the sensation is turning back towards the industry just because of former Prime Minister of India and great leader Lal Bahadur Shastri. The 76-year-old actor will be lending his voice for a biopic on Lal Bahadur Shastri titled Lal Bahadur Shastri: Gudari Ke Lal, paying a tribute to Shastri. Filmmaker Milan Ajmera will helm this venture.

Milan confirmed the association of Manoj with this venture, "My writer got the idea of getting Manojji to narrate the sequence of events and when we contacted him, he immediately agreed. We are making arrangements to record in his house." The movie will be produced by Madan Lal Khurana, Seema Chakerverty and Pankaj Dua and Dhiraj Mishra will give screenplay for the same. The venture features Om Puri, Prem Chopra, Rati Agnihotri, Jatin Khurana and few others in pivotal roles. Jai Jawaan Jai Kisaan is scheduled to release by year-end but the date is not specified yet.
