Juhi Chawla feels there’s too much competition in Bollywood today
Actress Juhi Chawla thinks that newcomers of Bollywood are having way too much stress these days regarding their visibility on screen. She said, “There are so many newcomers...Earlier once you made a mark; at least you had a chance of getting ahead. I think today you really have to stand your ground to be able to sustain. I thank god that I was there (at the peak of my career). I think there`s too much pressure now.”
The 46-year-old actress also stated that at the moment there is hardly any difference between an item girl and a leading actress. She quoted, “I think the line between the heroine and item girls is blurred now. I liked my heroine to be the way she was...sweet or at least she used to blush sometimes. Now there is nothing! They are so open about everything. I am happy now I have enjoyed myself and now I see all this drama happening around.”
The actress confessed that she too was compared with her fellow actresses in her young days, but over the period of time she has come out of it. Moreover, she will be sharing the screen space with her old rival Madhuri Dixit for the first time in Gulaab Gang. Juhi will be seen enacting a villainous character in the film.
