Here's Why Arnav And Khushi's Love Story In Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon Was Far From Ordinary!

The song hits you straight in the feels, doesn't it? 6th June 2011 is when all of it began. One of Hindi Television's most popular show, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon touched new heights of popularity when it hit the small screen. The love story between Arnav and Khushi, the characters of the show was loved by people worldwide. The show made Arnav Singh Raizada (Barun Sobti) a household name and gave Khushi Kumari Gupta (Sanaya Irani) a new image in the world of entertainment.

Barun & Sanaya's chemistry was one of the major highlights of the show and it wouldn't be wrong to credit the success of the show to their impeccable talent. As the show completes 6 years today, let's take a trip down memory lane to remind us all how it all began & then came to a beautiful end.

Remember Arnav and Khushi's first not-so-happy meeting? She unintentionally spoiled his fashion show and he locked her up in a room for the whole night. It all started on a note of hatred.

And with hate started their never ending bitter banters. From humiliating one another to irritating the hell out of each other, we all wondered how would they ever even fall in love!?

But then *surprise surprise* Arnav saw her in a saaree & couldn't take his eyes off her. (Yea, the beaten-to-death cliched scene)

Aur phir ASR ko kuch kuch hona shuru huaaa....

He even saved her from fainting & broke her Teej ka vrat (ofcourse, unintentionally).

And just when you thought things will start getting lovey dovey between them, Khushi entered his house much to his discomfort.

And as you'd expect it, it was the beginning of the aankh-micholi subtle romance ;)

Remember when you saw the khadoos angry young man ASR smiling for the first time? Yea, thanks to Khushi.

And then they started growing close.

Only to soon break each other's hearts.

But circumstances tried to bring them near to each other once again (but of, course) while they brought their very-much-in-love siblings together.

And with the wedding preparations also began their much awaited romance! The FIRST KISS.

The FIRST time jealousy striked.

The FIRST dance together.

And the FIRST "farak padhta hai" moment.

And just when Arnav was THIS CLOSE to expressing his feelings to Khushi...This freaking happened.

And then this....

What followed after was months long of family's emotional and taunting drama...

And a few more months of nafrat, torturing, loathing, compromising and insulting each other.

Isn't this symbolic?

And hell broke lose when the truth unfolded.

But before Khushi could prove her innocence, Arnav got kidnapped. And how did Khushi find that out? Well, he said this:

She freakin' put her life in danger to find her husband by hook or by crook even after all the shit he put her through. But oh well, at least he reciprocated.

Let's take a moment to appreciate the first SENSIBLE thing ASR did in the course of the show. SLAPPED SHYAM.

Then followed some roothna-manana. Yes, Khushi didn't want to stay with him anymore but he won her back. And the oh-so-magical ILY moment.

And while they prepped for their 're-marriage', ASR was encountered with another bitter truth. Well, Khushi's step-parents were responsible for Arnav's parent's death because her step-mother had an affair with his father. Oh well, let that complication be.

But true love triumphs all. Arnav forgot the past and married Khushi, yaay!

The story doesn't end here. They then got together to reveal the bad boy, Shyam's truth and they were successful (what else did you expect? He's the villian, duh)

Despite all the nafrat and taqraar, all's well that ends well. Arnav and Khushi lived happily ever after!!!
