Irrfan Khan-Deepika Padukone: Fresh onscreen pair comes on the board

An ought-to-be-watched onscreen romantic pair is coming up very soon with Shoojit Sircar’s Piku. Chennai Express actress Deepika Padukone and Paan Singh Tomar actor Irrfan Khan is the new lovey-dovey pair of Bollywood.

August will mark the beginning of the film’s journey and the entire cast of the film, which includes Amitabh Bachchan, will have some special session at a workshop for the film. While the film basically revolves around the father-daughter relationship, Irrfan’s character has a key importance in the film. Earlier it was learnt that Deepika will romance Bengali film actor Jisshu Sengupta in the film.

Madras Cafe maker Sircar said more, “Piku is a character-driven father-daughter story. That’s the film I am directing next before I go on to my football film 1911 with John Abraham. My writer Juhi Trivedi who wrote Vicky Donor with me, has written Piku. There are essentially three characters in the film of the father, daughter and another man played by Irrfan. I've Bachchan saab’s dates and very frankly, all the other actors’ dates would have to fall in line with Bachchan Saab’s schedule.” The Piku team will start working on the project very sincerely as they have also got the release date for the film. It has been set to hit the cinemas on April 30, 2015.
