Here's What Manohar Parikar Said About Aamir Khan's Intolerance Remarks

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has made sharp comments about Aamir Khan for his last year's comments on intolerance. Not only that but he verified that a team was ordering and returning goods from Snapdeal—company the actor endorsed.

Without directly naming Aamir Khan, the minister said his comments were "arrogant". "How does someone dare to talk about this country? If anyone speaks like this, he has to be taught the lesson of his life," he said in Pune.

Similarly, without naming Snapdeal, he said following the actor's statement, "many people broke relations with the company, many quit, the smart alec ones" placed orders and then returned them".

He further added: "I know there was a team working on this which was telling people you order and return it... The company needs to be taught a lesson... They had to cancel their advertisement with the actor."

Last November, while discussing intolerance at an event, Aamir had explained how the growing incidents of intolerance had increased sense of insecurity among people. He had spoken of his wife Kiran Rao's fears, adding that she fears for their son. He also said that it had caused her (Kiran Rao) to think about leaving the country.

This was followed by a massive controversy. Even a police case was filed against the actor and Kiran Rao.

Seems like anger against the Dangal actor still persists.
