RANKED: 6 Best Performances Of Aamir Khan
If you would have name one thing that sets Aamir Khan apart from Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, it would have to be the obsessive – almost finicky – desire to achieve the best result possible.
Such is his drive for perfection that it has become almost impossible that he makes below average films. Even his most commercially driven films – Ghajini and Dhoom 3 – have attained their purpose i.e. to make a lot of money. In fact, both of the projects became the highest grossing Indian film ever at the time.
So whatever he does commands a level of anticipation that you don’t see with any other star. And why not? He's a good actor who chooses right projects and has the talent and sense to deliver the best possible outcome.
So, on that note, we choose his best performances:
#6 PK
Though PK is not good as Rajkumar Hirani-Aamir Khan's collaboration 3 Idiots, there is no denying that Aamir Khan's role as stranded alien who slowly gets Indianised is worth watching.
#5 RANG DE BASANTI
Aamir Khan's transformation from a happy-go-lucky guy who refuses to leave the university to a guy who gets absorbed in a friend's tragedy is absolutely riveting.
#4 SARFAROSH
In Sarfarosh, Aamir Khan plays a righteous cop who fights against the infiltration of terrorists in the country. His earnest performance will capture the attention of whoever watches it.
#3 DANGAL
Playing the role of Mahavir Phogat, an aging wrestling coach, Aamir Khan gave a pitch-perfect performance. From his accent to his physical transformation to the fact that he was electric in every frame he was in, the actor's performance will be remembered for a long time.
#2 RANGEELA
His hilarious turn as a low-level tapori who cuts every possible corner to survive in Mumbai is a treat to watch. This easily could have been #1.
#1 LAGAAN
One of the best movies to ever be made in this country was anchored by a incredibly strong performance by Aamir Khan. Fiesty, head-strong and driven by morals, Bhuvan is one of the great characters in Indian cinema.
