4 Upcoming Aamir Khan Projects That Prove He's True Master of the Game!
If you would have name one thing that sets Aamir Khan apart from Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, it would have to be the obsessive – almost finicky – desire to achieve the best result possible.
Such is his drive for perfection that it has become almost impossible that he makes below average films. Even his most commercially driven films – Ghajini and Dhoom 3 – have attained their purpose i.e. to make a lot of money. In fact, both of the projects became the highest grossing Indian film ever at the time.
So whatever he does commands a level of anticipation that you don’t see with any other star. And why not? He's a good actor who chooses right projects and has the talent and sense to deliver the best possible outcome.
Here are his next projects:
Dangal
Yes, it's Sultan that is making most of the headlines right now. But in a matter of months, Aamir Khan's Dangal will be the one that everybody would be talking about.
Inspired by the true life of wrestler-coach Mahavir Phogat, the film will have the actor playing the part in two timelines. And we already have seen how convincing the perfectionist actor is to his role. The film will also have Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra in pivotal roles.
The film is scheduled to release on December 23, 2016.
Untitled Rakesh Sharma biography
Last month, several reports broke the news that Aamir Khan has agreed to play Indian astronaut Rakesh Sharma.
Those who don't know him, Rakesh Sharma is a former airforce pilot who became the first Indian to travel to space. He famously said Saare Jaan Se Achha when asked by Indira Gandhi how India looked from outer space.
Reports say that Aamir Khan will start shooting of the film after the release of Dangal.
Sarfarosh 2
Okay, there has been no official announcement yet. But sources have confirmed that the sequel to the 1999 classic Sarfarosh is in works.
The original movie had Aamir Khan playing the role of an honsest and kick-ass IPS officer who fought against the rising cross-border terrorism and arms smuggling. Sonali Bendre and Naseeruddin Shah were part of the star-cast in this highly acclaimed and successful film.
Satyamev Jayate (Season 4)
While there has been no confirmation when the season will roll out but Aamir Khan has confirmed that his team are working for the next series.
While shooting for the second phase of Dangal in Ludhiana, the actor said, "Currently the entire team is working on a very crucial and ambitious project to deal with water crisis in Maharashtra. We are aiming to make Maharashtra drought free in coming years.”
Considering how timely this topic is, the season is worth anticipating for.
