10 Times Bollywood Dealt With The Issue Of Disability

Art becomes an instrument to spread awareness, the only thing that matters is how aesthetically does one portray it. Hindi films have not always been dance drama numbers, there were (in fact still are) films which have dealt with the issue of disability beautifully. 

Cinema, can play an important role in redefining the norms of the society if a sensitive issue is dealt with utmost care. And if it can't redefine the norms, it can definitely create awareness. 

Taare Zameen Par, showed young Ishant's struggle with Dyslexia, Paa highlighted the issue of a rare genetic disorder calleed progeria, autism was shown in a mainstream film like Barfi.
