10 Actors Who Can Pull Off A Soccer Blockbuster

The number of sports fiction movies made in bollywood are abysmally low. However the genre of sports-centric movies is slowly picking up in India where anything except cricket usually doesn't get much footage. Football is one sport which has started gathering a steady following. A huge chunk of that number is comprised of women, who have started finding the sport attractive because of the Bekhams and Ronaldo's on the field.

Except the 2007 movie 'Goal' starring John Abraham and Bipasha Basu in the lead, there hasn't been a sporting attempt at making a soccer movie. Except an odd game of soccer in a movie, there hasn't been much development. Bollywoods's attitude mirrors the sport's plight in India. 

In case the film-makers decide to make a Goal! like movie which was a brilliant cocktail of sports and drama. Here's a list of actors who can pull off a soccer blockbuster:

1.Sidharth Malhotra

His debut movie Student of The Year had him score a lot of goals. Plus that lean body and tall frame might remind you of European footballers in Premier League.

2. Varun Dhawan

Part of the mega debut project Student of The Year along with Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan played football against Sidharth. Even though he lost against Siddharth's team, he can still do good at soccer, thanks to his cute looks and flamboyance, which might not win him games but will definitely win him some more girls. 

3.Ranbir Kapoor

Its no secret that Ranbir Kapoor is a football buff. He owns a team in ISL-Indian Soccer League has starred in several  Pepsi advertisements playing football. He usually engages in the sport for charity and celebrity get togethers. He can surely rock a soccer movie.

4.Akshay Kumar

It won't be wrong if we said that Akshay can play every sport. Sports require you to maintain fitness and acquire good motor-skills. Akki has maintained them through discipline and has already done Patiala House. It won't be difficult for him to look convincing while kicking and heading the ball.

5. John Abraham

Despite posessing a big and burly physique John can run the field and do some great freestyle football. He owns North-East United FC in ISL and has already done the sole soccer movie Goal! of bollywood.

6.Farhan Akhtar

His Bhaag Milkhaa Bhaag proved to be benchmarks in terms of physical goals. If he can play the role of a great sprinter with such aplomb than he can definitely play a footballer. 

7.Tiger Shroff

Keeping goal-scoring aside, he can do some backflips better than anyone in bollywood and it would be a necessary skill to celebrate the goals he has scored.

8.Shahid Kapoor

Shahid can pull off the footballer character, thanks to his commendable skills in acting and with his chocolate boy looks can reprise Messi on the bollywood screen.

9. Randeep Hooda

Randeep Hooda trained Salman Khan in Sultan and this tough boy from Haryana has a built of a defender who can stop any striker from intruding into the goal-scoring territory. 

10. Sooraj Pancholi

This new-comer packed a lot of punch in his debut movie Hero. When he ends up scoring in the movie which he definitely will, you can picture him removing his jersey to flaunt that chisseled physique.
