A few days ago, Alia Bhatt found herself in the centre of a ‘digital manipulation’. In simple words, she became a victim of the Deepfake video. For the unversed, a morphed video ‘featuring’ Alia Bhatt was seen doing the rounds, in which the actress ‘could be seen’ lying on the bed and making gestures. This time round, Alia Bhatt has, once again, become the victim of Deepfake. This time round, it’s a morphed video of hers which has been transposed on the face of actress Wamiqa Gabbi.

As for the original video, it was shared by Wamiqa Gabbi on her official social media handle a few days back. After sharing the video, Wamiq had even captioned the same as, ‘Your Premiqa is indeed a Chamkila fan’ with a Punjabi track playing in the background.

As for the actress Wamiqa Gabbi, she was seen wearing a red sari, which she had worn for the premiere of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. What is interesting about the whole thing is that the same premiere was attended by Alia Bhatt as well!

It seems that, by now, most of the netizens are well versed with the concept of Deepfake, which was visible from the various comments which were seen on the post. While one user wrote, ‘This is the actual video of Wamiqa Gabi. They replaced it with Alia's face using AI’, there was another who wrote, ‘Is this legal?? U r using alia's face’.

Readers may know that, besides Alia Bhatt, there were a bunch of Bollywood actors who had become victims to the Deepfake videos. These actors include Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Kajol and Rashmika Mandanna.

As for Alia Bhatt, she has been setting the internet on fire with her appearance at the Met Gala, where she wore a Sabyasachi. No sooner did she post the photos of the grand event on social media; she was flooded with compliments galore from many of her fans and followers.
