    Grrr Teaser

The official teaser for Kunchako Boban and Suraj Venjaramoodu's Grrr is out. The makers of the film took to their social media handles to make the new announcement, with the caption, “Roaring Fun ….Zoon in Theatres..GRR..(sic)”.

The new teaser opens with Kunchacko Boban’s character, who seems to be a drunkard, getting into the enclosure of a lion named Darshan at the Thiruvananthapuram Zoo. We then see a news announcement about a man who jumps into the lion enclosure and there are no further details about the unknown man. Later, Suraj’s character, along with a bunch of other zoo authorities, get into the enclosure to drag the man out.

There are hilarious shots of the zookeepers trying to drag Kunchacko out, but he tries to push them all away. Suraj hilariously says, “It's a lion's cage, not a bird's nest for you to go close and coochy coo.” It then seems like Kunchako is ready to fight the wild animal. But as they try to take him away, Darshan the lion is seen coming out of his den and Kunchacko challenges him to a fight. The teaser might seem scary but the short glimpse promises a fun watch, with Suraj making a comeback with his popular ‘Thiruvananthapuram accent’.

Ezra director Jay K helms Grrr

Grrr is directed by Jay K, who has helmed several projects such as Ezra, Aanum Pennum and the Hindi film Dybbuk. Grrr is headlined by Kunchako Boban and Suraj Venjaramoodu, along with Shruti Ramachandran, Rajesh Madhavan, Anagha and Shobi Thilakan in supporting roles.

The film is said to be inspired by true events about people jumping/falling into a lion’s den across the globe. Interestingly, the makers shot the film with a real lion. The Nna Thaan Case Kodu actor revealed that he had shot with a real-life lion in South Africa for this film. He also revealed that the makers "took all safety precautions and he enjoyed the experience."
