Filmmaker Adhik Ravichandran wrote a heartfelt note to Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar, thanking him for the opportunity to direct him in "Good Bad Ugly," while also sharing his wish for Ajith's 53rd birthday and expressing his deep gratitude.

"Happy birthday to My Sir. Wishing you a great year ahead, sir. First picture with Sir, from a Fan boy to a Fan boy director. Unexplainable feeling. Been a very special journey. Thank you, sir, for giving me #GoodBadUgly #HBDAjithKumar sir," tweeted Adhik.

"Good Bad Ugly" holds significant meaning for Adhik as it signifies his directorial career elevating to the next level. He made his directorial debut in 2015 with the adult comedy-drama "Trisha Illana Nayanthara," which was a hit, but Adhik found himself limited to directing similar movies. His career suffered a major setback when "Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan," starring Tamil star Simbu, tanked at the box office due to various issues, leading to a fallout between Adhik and Simbu.

Following the film's commercial and critical failure, Adhik accused Simbu of "unprofessional behaviour," claiming it sabotaged his creative vision and caused major losses to the producers.

Finally, Adhik managed to catch a big break last year with "Mark Antony," starring Vishal in the lead role. The film, a sci-fi comedy involving a telephone that allows its users to talk across different timelines, garnered mixed reactions from critics but struck gold at the box office, earning more than Rs 100 crore from its worldwide theatrical collection. This success paved the way for Adhik to secure the opportunity to direct Ajith Kumar in his next project.

Adhik has previously collaborated with Ajith in a different capacity, playing a supporting role in Ajith's 2019 courtroom drama "Nerkonda Paarvai," a remake of the Bollywood hit "Pink."

"Good Bad Ugly" is all set to go on the floors soon.
