Aranmanai 4: Release date, trailer, plot, cast and crew, and more

Sundar C’s fourth instalment of the horror series franchise, Aranamanai 4, is all set to hit the big screens this week. The film starring Tamannaah Bhatia and Raashii Khanna serves as a standalone film with different characters but with the same premise and revolves around a family who relocates to a haunted bungalow.

Aranmanai Release date

The Sundar C directorial is slated to hit the theatres on May 3. Earlier the film was scheduled to be released alongside Vishal and Hari’s action drama Rathnam on April 26, however the makers decided to to push the dates further to May. Now the film will be clashing with children's film Kurangu Pedal, Sai Dhanshika’s The Proof and Malayalam film Nadikar starring Tovino Thomas at the box offcice.

The trailer showcases a tragedy that occurs to a couple played by Santhosh Prathap and Tamannaah. When the husband dies of a heart attack, the wife takes her own life. Sundar C who suspects a foul play in her suicide, decides to find the truth. The trailer includes all aspects seen in the other three parts of the franchise, including item numbers, heavy CGI, Yogi Babu and Kovai Sarala's humourous sequences and intense emotional drama.

The horror drama centres around Sundar C’s character, who plays a lawyer from Chennai. His sister is played by actor Tamannaah Bhatia, who along with her family, shifts to a bungalow in a remote place. However, after her husband dies under mysterious circumstances the sister dies by suicide, and it is up to the lawyer to unravel the mystery in their deaths. There is also a rumour of a ghost lurking in the village, which consumes humans. Raashii Khanna is rumoured to be playing the role of the ghost. Although all of the instalments revolve around a ghost possessed in a bungalow, this film is said to be a different one and as mentioned by Sundar C, will be 'more entertaining'.

Cast and crew of Aranmanai

Besides the lead cast, the film helmed by Sundar C, also stars Raashii Khanna, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Delhi Ganesh and Kovai Sarala among others. On the technical front, the music for the film is scored by Hiphop Tamizha. E Krishnasamy has cranked the camera, while Fenny Oliver serves as the editor of the film. 

Budget of Aranmanai 4

The Sundar C directorial has reportedly been made on a budget of Rs 7 crore.
